Re: newbie needing to info

Are you trying to pick up Newcastles DAB local radio from Lincolnshire? I can't see it happening.

I'm curious, 'something to do with nufc which I think is a load of rubbish': What did they tell you? I only ask as one of the 'techie guys' who understand this stuff might have an idea if only you tell them what you know. No promises mind, I'm not sure there are any 'techie people' in this forum, but you never know right?

There's some information on DAB Aeriels here:
DAB & FM Aerial Advice

Also, can't you listen to it online? It says you can here:

Quote:
Radio coverage: BBC Radio Newcastle, BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra (via DAB, Sky etc).

Online radio coverage in the UK: BBC iPlayer Console - Listen live - BBC Radio 5 live sports extra.

Online radio coverage not in the UK: Home | nufc.co.uk | Newcastle United Football Club. Yes, that means you have to pay.
Print Page - Nott'm Forest 1 - 0 Newcastle Utd - 17/10/09 - Post-Match Reaction From Page 16

Re: newbie needing to info

The best thing to do is check your DAB coverage here : ukdigitalradio: Home, enter the post code at the top and it should list the number of stations you will receive. Most national stations BBC, Absolute Radio etc... should be available. If it says that you are fairly likely to get them then you may need an external aerial. A wideband one might do the trick. I got my personal DAB radio hooked up to a pair of speakers and can get 50 stations without any problems.
