New Vita R2-i problems

Just got this radio and am having probs with an iphone and an ipod. Ipod first it just wont recognise it or even charge it (a 40gb 2nd generation).
The iphone issue is when the radio is on and i plug the iphone onto the dock the signal level goes down so i lose the digital radio channel altogether, this would mean i could never leave it to charge and listen to the digi radio at the same time. If anyone has had similar or has an idea would like to hear it.

A quick read of the specs on the Vita website, it states:

"Integrated universal iPod Dock supports and charges all iPod models produced from January 2004 onward. iPod Shuffle and earlier models are supported by front and rear auxiliary inputs."

The 2nd Generation iPod was only available in 10Gb and 20GB sizes and was released in July 2002, so it may be a 3rd generation iPod you have which was released April 2003 and therefore is still not supported via the dock connection.

The only way to use your old iPod is to connect it to one of the auxiliary audio inputs on the front or rear of the unit as is quite clear from the spec on the site.

I would try putting the iPhone into Airplane mode which should reduce any interference caused to the radio reception.

Re: New Vita R2-i problems

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't make it clear but obviously the iphone is in airplane mode, this problem persists anyway.
