DAB Fatal file error

Recording radio programmes has always been straight forward but just recently I can't record anything. The display shows "Fatal file error". Can anyone help me?

Thanks

No. Not unless there are any psychics on the forum.

Re: DAB Fatal file error

You need to at least state your hardware and software setup details.
What receiver ? (make and model)
Recording onto what ?
(PC hard drive, via NAS, other streamer etc. )

Re: DAB Fatal file error

Oops! Sorry, yes. It is a digital radio, Roberts. I'm a complete novice with these chat rooms! If someone can help with the fatal file error, I'd be very grateful!

Re: DAB Fatal file error

How about giving us the model number, please ?

Edit : After a quick Google with a focussed search string, this thread may help - if this is the model you have.

help with Roberts DAB RD1 - Radio - Digital Spy Forums

and another :
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=178204

(user had to swap his 250 MB card for a 128 MB one that was compatible with the radio).

Re: DAB Fatal file error

Hi Chris

Thanks for this. Yes, it is a RD-1 FM/DAB digital radio so I'll have a go now looking at the links you have given me. Really appreciate your help

Re: DAB Fatal file error

Ok, report back after you've tried this (or found another fix) as it could help others.
Posters should always give details like make and model number; your thread title , however, was quite good.
(I hate it when the thread title just says "Help" or "Please help a noob" or similar).

Re: DAB Fatal file error

Roberts Radio were very prompt in getting back to me by e-mail and sent me (free of charge) a new SD card with updated software. However this didn't work so I am sending the set to them and Roberts will charge me £67.66 which is inclusive of all parts, labour, vat, return post and packaging.
