Connecting my DAB to coaxial cable....

Hello folks.

I recently brought a cheap DAB radio from my local ASDA and Im having a few issues!!.

Basically the antenna coming from the back is a feeble piece of wire about a foot in length which is rubbish!. I cant recieve any signal with it whatsoever. I live in a new house which has a freeview ariel already installed with 3 ports in the house, two for TV and one which says Radio. Im wondering if I could somehow connect the feeble piece of wire (antenna) to a length of coaxial cable and then into the radio socket on the wall if this would improve signal at all. I dont want to rush out and buy some coaxial if its going to be a waste of money and time!.

Any advice would be brilliant.

Thank you.
