Portable DAB radio, or fm/mw/lw

Seeing as the lineup on Radio1 has changed, and my mobile connector keeps screwing up i'm looking at getting a little radio to go in my pocket on my post walk.

Is it worth me getting a DAB radio, or would i be better off with a FM/MW/LW radio?

Seems to be good DAB coverage around Derby.

Don't want to spend the earth, £50 for DAB less for non-DAB, so any recommendations please? Can't find much after a quick google.

Cheers, Adam

I found that in pink when I had a search, which strangely I didn't really want, but it was the only one I actually found tbh.

Should I go for that over a £20 FM Radio? Or with me walking over a 3-5 mile area, would I be more sensible to go for the FM instead of DAB?

I don't have one of those myself but I do have a small, cheap Roberts R9924 (non DAB) which is very good for £12.00 delivered. See here Roberts Lifestyle Radios

For customer reviews see here Roberts R9924 Sports 924 3-Band Portable Radio with: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Cheer Geoff

Think i'll probably stick with the old FM till prices come down on DAB radios then.

imo, it's not worth me spending an extra £40 on possibly crisper quality, but possibly less reliability.

No worries. I reckon the Roberts R9924 is a brilliant small radio for the money. Also, for a little more money the Roberts R9994 at £23.00 delivered from the same site (Sherwoods) looks a good buy as it's a genuine stereo radio and comes with earphones. See here for a couple of positive customer reviews.
