HDMI Cable installation into solid walls

Hi Guys

Long time lurker, 1st time poster here, hope you can help.

I'm currently in the process of chasing some HDMI cables into our lounge internal wall, and we're having some problems sourcing the faceplates we need.
We've already chased out the wall, the projector will be ceiling mounted at the back of the room and we are planning on having 3 hdmi sockets just behind it on the wall, with the cables run down to our av area under the stairs. The main problem we're having is with right angled HDMI faceplates.
Because the wall is solid and not that deep - we can't use 47mm back boxes, so are planning on using hdmi plates with right angled connectors.
I've had no joy in finding a double hdmi single size face plate (in brushed steel), so we're now thinking of making our own.

Current plan is to buy blank face plates and cut holes then attach these
Right Angle HDMI Coupler Adapter with glue to the back side of the face plate. Do you guys know of any similar adaptors out there that have screw fit plates on them?
A bit like this

Failing that if you know of anywhere that has a ready made plate on offer, or have any better ideas I'd appreciate it!

On another note we're after a single rca connection plate as well, so far I can only find doubles.

Thanks in advance!

Claire

Hiya, have a look at Cpc ( just type that into Google) they have shed loads of hdmi wall plates from only a few quid.

Kind regards

Hi,

Yeh have already checked all the main sites, CPC included and no joy.

Looks like we're going to have to make something ourselves

Thanks anyway

Nexxia plates are for 37mm back boxes and include twin plates in brushed stainless.

Thanks, our backboxes are 25mm.

However I found these the other day.

They just fit our back boxes!

Thanks all.

Hi Claire, do you actually need wall/ceiling sockets and plugs here?

I (and I suspect many other installers) wouldn't bother with any unecessary plugs and sockets in this situation. Apart from the fact it looks ugly to have to see all these (even if it is up behind a projector), its never good for signal 'robustness' to have unnecessary plugs and sockets in line - just one more potential for causing faults in future.

I bring the all cables out of the ceiling in one bunch through a single brush plate. Lots available on line - chrome finish etc Buy Brush Wall Plates & Wall Brush Plates

Then just use braided sleeving to cover all cable bunch and you get a really next looking finish. If you have a ceiling void you can push the cables in and out to get them the right length to meet the projector, if not then you need to measure the exact cable length to the projector before plastering.
