new here, need help!

Hi, i just got a 55inch lcd and plan on wall mounting it.but i want to have all the home theater equipment (dvd player, cd player, etc) in the room behind where im mounting the tv.all the cables will pass through the wall behind the tv and into the next room.
Is this possible? will i b able to use remotes for the dvd player? if so how?
please im so lost! help me!

Something like these would do the trick

NexGen Solutions - X-Ray Remote Extende - Make your infrared remote work using radio signals

or an IR repeater of some kind. I've not used this sort of set up so can't comment on how effective they are but hopefully that gives you a bit of a starting point!

I would buy a remote with a wireless solution e.g. Logitech Harmony 895 or 1000, or Philips Pronto TSU-9200 with RFX-9200 extender.

For a cheap and cheerful solution get an



SLX Omnilink Remote Control Extender from B&Q, you get a wire with 3 IR bugs on to stick on your kit, works off your Sky RF2 voltage or a seperate 12v PSU (Supplied). Does the same job as the Elan ones for half the price, and ultra reliable.
