control 3 IR devices

Hi all,

I'm after something a-la the sky magic eye units so I can control 3 devices in my cellar.

I've already got one which can control 2 with two remote IR sticks which attach to the devices - but I need a third!

Any ideas?

cheers

Will

BlueDelta Smart Blaster or Hide-a-way should do what you want.

Re: control 3 IR devices

Hi Vex,

thanks for these, but it looks like they can be controlled by the magic-eyes so can only be used for one room control, are there any that do the same but use the magic eye to get the ir signals from the rooms over coax?

thx

Re: control 3 IR devices

Magic eyes can be used via a suitable amp for 12+ rooms easily but you wont get discrete IR over Coax, over different cables you can have a look at Xantech

Re: control 3 IR devices

From one of your other threads you imply that you have distributed these sources to multiple rooms. Is that the case?
If so then you will be needing multiple source remotes too.
Why not purchase a number of RF capable remotes and a single RF base?
There would then be no need to distribute 'dodgy' IR and you would have a single remote in each of the rooms controlling all your source kit and anything else IR within the room.

Re: control 3 IR devices

Hiya,

yep thats correct, in the basement I've got all of my A/V and a 9v bypass amp on the coax to all rooms, with magic eyes in each room.

Currently I've got a IR repeater that works off the magic eye system and allows control of sky (through the 9v directly) and two other devices by using stick on IR modules, the only issue is I now need to control a third IR device.

I've thought about RF but I've already got the sky remotes all over

Thx

Will

Doh, your perfect answer came a day after I'd solved it in a home brew way!

It seems you can daisy chain the TV link plus's - so anyone wanting 4 IR's can now do this!

cheers
