Gloss Black or Brushed Steel Wall Plates

Hi Folks,

I'm helping a friend do an install in his cellar conversion and we've found most of the wall sockets we need in brushed steel - from Nexxia, however they only seem to have the wall brush plates in white plastic, as the speakers, tv, cabinets are all gloss black and fixtures are all brushed steel, they'll look a bit crap.

I've found a couple of places but £29 each for a brushed steel brush plate is silly money.... hence considering black plastic also. I've seen a couple of places that offer an adaptor so you fit the brush plate behind your wall socket, but i can't find a suitable black front to go with!

Can anyone point me in a direction to source them??

Thanks

Scott

I was looking at something like this myself and haven't tried it yet but screwfix
sell blank plates that you could cut out and then stick some brushes onto.

Not sure how hard it would be to get a nice finish on the edge you cut though.

Let us know how you get on / if you find some at a decent price though!

Cheers,
Dunk

Thanks Dunk,

I've managed to find these as possible options...

Single Gang Piano Black Bezel: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

or

Single Gang Stainless Steel Effect Bezel: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Combined with these brush plates, seems they will sit behind the fascias and should work as intended!

Good find.

Better than cutting them yourself.

Cheers.
