Ir control via pc or pda

Hi,

Does anyone know of PC/pda hardware and software that can be used to control devices such as tv's or dvd players via infra red? It has to be capable of importing hex codes.

I need to use this to import and test device specific discrete ir codes before deciding on what universal remote control to offer clients.

I'm currently using the USB-UIRT with Homeseer ( Home Automation Systems - HomeSeer ) software as part of a home automation system.

I use HP HX4700 running WinCESoft remote control II.
Works well learning codes and the loading of codes from a pcf.

Thanks for the tip.

Incidentally, I bought Remote Control II over the weekend and learnt some Sky codes into my HX4700. Worked a treat.
