Question Need some advice with this...

Soon I will have my new living room home cinema setup.

The home cinema setup is made out of the following components:

- Pioneer PDP-LX5090H (or KRP-500A/M)
- Pioneer SC-LX72
- Humax IR-HD5000C (for digital cable TV)
- Kef KHT3005SE
- HTPC Computer (with HDMI connections and such)

Now I was wondering how I should connect everything? My idea was connecting everything through the A/V-receiver. For example:

Humax > A/V-receiver > Pioneer TV
HTPC > A/V-receiver > Pioneer TV
etc...

All connections will be made through HMDI cables.

Is this the correct way to do this?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Yes, that's absolutely the right way to do it.

As your "etc" list grows bigger you can just plug it into the receiver (it's got 5 HDMI inputs).

Re: Need some advice with this...

Okay thanks for the quick answer.

So in general, you can run everything through the receiver, right? Is this also the best option?

Re: Need some advice with this...

often the best option but you may want to run the HTPC direct to the screen and use different settings, also unless you have HDMI GFX card you will need seperate audio (spdif) link for Dolby DTS etc

Re: Need some advice with this...

I have an Auzentech Home Theater card (HDMI in & out) and a videocard with HDMI out.

So I am good to go!
