Hi all
I hope someone can help. As stated in my multiroom thread in audio i am having a few issues.

I cabled for cambridge audio incognito in a recent refurb but now iam looking at my options.

I understand the incognito is an abus sytem.

I think the opus 300 is very similar but i dont understand it at a technical level.

The particular problems are that the cat 5 is coming out the walls at light switch level for kp10 wall plates and the ceiling speakers go back to the same area not to the receiver.

any thoughts

cheers

Re: abus

Hi Clarko1

THe Incognito is based on the Opus 300 and manufactured by Opus for them so you should have no problem using it rather than the Incognito.

Any of the Abus ranges should be a direct swap for the wiring that you have installed. Can help out if needed.

Re: abus

cheers vex

i thought they looked pretty similar. My big problem with both systems is they look so industrial.

I want at least a lcd display to see what music iam playing.

i even got to the point of thinking of mounting sb3 at the wall plate point but there is no power there and amplification is an issue although i could use active speakers and use the cat 5 for power, after all thats what the abus is doing.

i Guess iam struggling with budget the 500 has the new lcd keypads but at 5 times as much money i cant justify it.

cheers
