Where are you located (which country)?
Are you absolutely sure that is the model no?
How old is the set?

I'm located in Australia.
Looking at the back of the TV right now, it says TC-2970V.
I think it's around 15 years old, but it uses a remote so that's why I think it might have a service menu.

I doubt it very much.
If I knew the chassis type I could tell you for sure...on UK sets this was sometimes printed on the rear label...e.g. Alpha2, Euro3 etc.

Sorry, I have no info on it.
It was not a chassis used in the UK.

M15 was a Japanese chassis, perhaps built in Malaysia or Japan.

In Europe, Euro 1 was the first digital Panasonic TV chassis (1993) and hence the first to provide a software service mode. It used an ITT-Intermetal chip set; current models use the Micronas chip set which is a later generation of the family.

The M15 was most likely an analogue chassis, so any adjustments would be via preset controls inside the TV. Many designs of this vintage only provided adjustment of the main (50Hz) mode; the 60Hz mode was rarely used at the time and was provided as almost a 'free extra', so may not be adjustable.

You may have to maladjust the 50Hz mode to get the best 50/60Hz compromise but as you have to open the set up, I would recommend that you leave it alone.

60hz does show up correctly on the TV but the V and H position needs to be positioned correctly.
If I we're to take the back off of the TV what kind of things would I be looking for to do such adjustments? would I be looking for nobs? jumpers? pots?
