Over scan problem??

I have noticed recently that our TV (Sony HQ100) is cutting off the far left and right or some broadcasts. It only happens on digital(freeview)-if i switch to the same channel on analogue it's fine. Changing the aspect ratio of the TV makes no difference which makes me thinks it's happening at broadcast level?? (NOT the TV over scanning-i also back this up by theb fact the EPG is not cut off nor has anything changed on the picture when watching DVD's) Has something changed at broadcast level recently??
