Red Horizontal Line (JVC)

hey guys! pls pls help if you can.
Brought a JVC 28inch R25. Very happy with it but when i turn it on, a red line appears for a second or two before the picture actually appears!

Strange... does anyone know whether its a early warning sign that somethings gonna go wrong!

any advice would be MORE than welcome!

Where is the line, top or middle? It's probably the auto white balnce doing its stuff.

Gary, the line is bang running down the middle. it doens't happen all the time though. only occasionally (1 in 3 times the set is turned on) & it never happened the first couple of months i had the tv! cheers

If it's running down the screen vertically it doesn't sound normal. You do sometimes see a coloured horizontal line at the top of the screen which is the AWB.

sorry, bang down the middle, i meant right in the middle- horizontal. not vertical. and there's no other lines at the top or bottom! Just running horizontal down the middle! v.strange.
