Removing Scratches from a TV screen

Hello,

i have a monitor that has a couple of light-ish scratches on the screen. Is it possible to get the scratches out? Are there any specialists who do this kind of thing? Are there any products that i could get like an abrasive solution etc etc.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I'm no expert on this, but I'm not sure there is much to do.

If it's a flat faced CRT, it probably has clear glass with a relatively thin dark coating on it. Then I think there really isn't much to do. Using solvents or abrasive materials on the screen could discolor and damage this coating so much that the CRT would end up ruined.

If it's a domed CRT, maybe it would be possible to polish light scratches away, so long as the screen does not have a anti-reflective/anti-static coating. I'm not sure if domed CRT's ever do, but to be on the safe side you'd need to get hold of the datasheet for the CRT.
