Lost digital signal on Sony KD32NX200

Hi,

I have a Sony KD32NX200 which has been working fine for about 6 months. Yesterday I unplugged everything and moved the set to the other side of the room and plugged everything back in.

Everything works fine (Analogue, DVD, VCR) except it now tells me that there is no digital signal detected ...... everything is connected in the same manner as before !

Any clues ??

Thanks in anticipation

Reeves.

Yes pal ....... everything's the same.

The room it's in has a cellar underneath, so it was only a case of re routing the same wires to the other side of the room ....

The analogue picture was always OK, but now it appears to be better ....... but the digital signal seems to have gone completly ... as far as I can tell, nothing has changed.

I see that you have the 36" version ......... have you always been happy with it ?

What settings do you use ??

If the cable is in the cellar, maybe it has rotted a little, and moving it has made the cable inside break?

Wiggle the cable about a bit, disconnect and reconnect, look for damage.

Digital requires a better signal than analogue

This is all I can think off. I imagine you have tried all the above anyhows.

Regards

Robert.

Yep ... I've had a look at that sort of thing and all seems ok.

The new aerial and rewire was only done about 8 months ago and the cellar is pretty dry.

Unfortunatly I don't have a signal strength meter, or access to one so I can't determine if there's a drop in strength ........ bugger.
