connect thomson 21dx170s tv to pc - s-video to scart

yo all,

I want to connect my thomson 21dx170s to my pc.

I used a scart cable and a s-video 4pin for that. This cable contains on one side the scart cable and on the other side a s-video in, out, a right sound in, out, a left sound input and output. So I put the s-video out in my computer and the scarter into my tv.

I also downloade the latest drivers for my nvidea video-cart. Now nvidea recognises my tv when the cable is pluged in and I've set the right settings up.

My tv just displays: 'signal. = 0' on av mode.

The pc don't see a difference when the tv is turned on or turned of.

Anybody know how to solve this problem so I can watch my pc true my tv?

thanks in advance

Re: connect thomson 21dx170s tv to pc - s-video to scart

I don't know the specs for your particular TV but it could simply be that you need to enable S-Video manually from your TV's set up menus for that particular SCART socket. There are variations but if your TV has two SCART sockets AV1 is usually RGB enabled and often won't accept S-Video. AV2 SCART will usually be for Composite or S-Video. However some TVs won't accept S-Video through SCART at all but these sets may have separate 4-pin S-Video and AV/Audio RCA/Phono inputs somewhere.

Also make sure, as I'm certain you will have, that any in/out switch the S-Video to SCART adapter you're using has is set correctly too.
