Smile 42PW23P arrived :)

Ok, TV arrived.

Service menu modded to the same level as Nathan:

RCUT 4BH
GCUT 40H
BCUT 2BH
RDRV 30H
BDRV 2BH
BRTC 8AH
TNTC 1EH
SCNT 08H
COLP 05H
COLS 00H
SBY 04H
SRY 07H
HPOS 14H
VPOS 02H
HIT 2FH
VLIN 0FH
VSC 10H
VPS 18H
WID 28H
PARA 1CH
CNR 08H
TRAP 10H
VFC 00H
VCEN 84H
VCE1 00H
VCE2 00H
OPT3 01H

All looks reasonably well so far. Now does anyone know how to get this remote to work with the VCR and DVD modes? it's not mentioned in the manual which is odd.

PS : Ordered Friday, delivered Monday.

***???

Why have you adjusted service level settings to mine? Don't you know most set's are different?

I hope you wrote down the original settings. Put them back.

Were the settings different though? It will have messed up greyscale if you've changed DRV & CUT settings, and overall shape for TRAP & CNR.

What do think of the picture quality?

UPDATE: Just tested black and white levels with Scrooge (Allistair Sim) and its fine apart from the common tinge of redish pink on the right.
