Bush WS7660SIL Service Menu code

My Dad somehow enabled Hotel Mode and it's now permanently stuck in 4:3 mode.

Anyone know the service code so I can change it back.

Thanks very much.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think there is a WS7660SIL model...can you double check the model no?

This model uses the Beko 14.2 chassis.
I don't know how your Dad managed to enter "Hotel" mode?...or what makes you think the set is in "Hotel" mode?
He's either deliberately entered the service mode...or accidently entered it by pushing a combination of buttons on the remote and has unknowingly set the CRT type as 4x3 instead of 16x9.

Confusingly there are two different ways of entering/exiting the service mode on this chassis and it depends on what type of microprocessor is used.
One method is to press "Menu" followed by 9301...to exit press 9301 again.
The second method can only be done using a special Beko "Service Remote"...or any old Philips TV remote that has "Contast" + and - buttons on it will let you in/out of service mode.

Re: Bush WS7660SIL Service Menu code

He told me he pressed aux on his Samsung dvd player then turned the volume down on the Sky remote and a strange menu came up. All he can remember is that it said hotel mode on/off, he doesn't know what he then pressed but it is now stuck in 4:3 mode.

That's when he rang me.

I've tried to get him to re-enact his button presses but no joy.

I think he did more than turn hotel mode on but without the service menu code my hands were tied.

I'll try the first method later.

Thanks very much for the info, I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Bush WS7660SIL Service Menu code

Just popped round and tried the 'menu 9301' method but no luck.

Read elsewhere on a Google search that some fellow had got in with a cheap universal remote from a pound shop. Mum's gunna see if she can find one next time she's in town.

Re: Bush WS7660SIL Service Menu code

Sorted!!!

Mum got a universal remote from Poundstretcher, model number URC22B. I used your 'press contrast + & - together' method and the service menu came up. Put it back as it was and all's well.

Thanks for the help Jaycee, Mum & Dad are very happy now.
