I know of at least three people who have messed this RP up by fiddling with the service codes.

and as Nathan says... write down all settings... and don't mess with any that aren't mentioned, there are one or two that will screw up the TV bigstyle...

Simon, what is wrong with your set? Unless you know what's wrong, and what setting will fix it I would leave service menu alone.

I need to drop the horizontal screen position by a couple of notches and will tweak the convergence. I have fiddled with TV's before and had no problems, my last was a Hitachi 28" which had TERRIBLE geometry; search for C28WF530N and you will find some amateurs commenting on good geometry! This set looks fairly good; bit dodgy down the right hand side but not overly distracting. What do you lot think?

Why not use the User level horizontol & vertical positioning?

You can only alter the horizontal positioning (By which I mean moving it up and down) with the "cinema" and "subtitle" screen modes and not with 16:9 + 4:3 et al.
