Philips 9527 A New Problem?

Whilst I have not had a black bars problem on my 9527 which I have had for 10 months, yesterday after switching itself on/off for the 5th time, when it came back on I had loads of red lines on the picture.

I called Mastercare who came out today they stated that the red gun had gone therefore they will have to replace the tube.Having read all the stuff on tubes this makes me nervous.

I suppose the question should I be worried or do I push for a replacement TV after 10 months.

Leave the sinking ship while you can. I did (ex 36PW9327)...

Try to change it for a PD30.
