Sony KD28DX40 - faulty/dodgy digital tuner after 6months?!?

Has anyone else experienced a fault when switching on their Sony KD28DX40 iDTV?

I occasionally get a bright green flashing screen as if the digital tuner (the terrestrial channels work fine even when this occurs) hasn't initialized properly. I have even had the sound coming through a couple of times without a picture being visible! It has usually worked once I switch the TV off (not onto standby) and switch it back on again.

I have an engineer from the shop coming 'round to check it out but I just know that it will work fine when he comes to see it!

If I had some evidence that other users had experienced similar problems with their TV sets they may be more disposed to believe me

Do you usually switch off or do you use standby

The tuner is normally active in standby - switch off fully instead
