JVC AV24WT5EK screen problems

Hello, this is my first time on hear, so bear with me. I have a JVC 24" widescreen TV in my kitchen, and recently I have encountered a problem. When I switch on the TV, I hear the audio from the particular channel, but the screen appears as, what I would describe, as the Aurora lights, and then the TV goes into standby. I am unable to use the remote to switch the TV on, so have to switch it off! Any ideas as to why it's doing this? Is it JVC specific?

Re: JVC AV24WT5EK screen problems

I hate to condemn anything without seeing it.

But...

On this occasion...

I will.

It's the tube.

Very common fault. It's scrap I'm afraid.

Thanks, now I've got a dilema!!

Credit crunch versus watching TV in the kitchen!

Decisions, decisions!
