Need Advice for buying new TV + DVD set

Hi all,

Recently I have been looking into buying a new TV plus DVD and Surround Sound, basically im after a complete set with a budget of about £2000.

The more I look into it the harder the choice seems to get, so many different brands and functions etc.

Im after a widescreen TV, preferably flatscreen 100hz, with a decent DVD with surround sound, I have seen a Sony DAVS880 I think which looked good since the front and rear speakers were on stands, this makes it alot easier, However I hear mixed opinions about that set.

As far as I know RGB is the best type of leads to use, is this the case or is there something better.

Thanks in advance.

Mike.

what size tv are you looking for?

Any particular make?

The sony fq80 looks good, you can pick that up for around £1400/£1500.

I would consider loewe as well. See previous thread on the best 32" widescreen tv.

Preferebly 32" I have seen the Loewe Vitros 6381ZW which looks like the best so far.

I never heard of that make before coming to these forums.
