Red face newbie question - pixels & Tosh 28ZT29B

Hi,

Received delivery of my first WS tv today, a Toshiba 28T29B. However I have notice two rogue pixels in the black border around the picture. One on each side half way down and 'touching' the main picture. I called the company (in Birmingam) and they said it was fairly common and that i should take a look at the model locally (London) to see whether it was an inherent problem.

I have little experience with this or any other w/s tv's so can any1 please tell me if I should just accept this or get the company to change the tv for me. i'm definitely erring towards the latter

Thanks!

teddy

teddy,
I too have two pixels like you described on either side of the screen exactly half way down just on the border area. I think it is common as I looked at my other TV and it also has it.

this isn't a fault - it's just the way certain tubes are made - certainly Panasonic tubes have this.

thx david & alan.

i went 2 a couple of electrical stores on tottenham court road and they told me that the pixels - are there to help the placement of the screens or something! - i saw about 15 -20 panny, tosh and jvc's and they all had it.

at least it's not a fault
