Rear Projection TV's

Was thinking about buying one of these considering the prices have come down to reasonable levels. However, I have always wondered about the lifetime of them wrt parts burning out from use. Can anyone advise on parts that may need replacing and the cost of these parts. Thanks.

I had heard somewhere that bulbs or guns (or something) tends to burn out on them and can be costly to replace. Maybe its bunkum.

Eventually, after 10-15 years (CRT's)

LCD lamps don't last that long, and they are around £200-£400 each.
