Red Push problem on Tosh RPTV

I've noticed my Toshiba 42PW23P seems to have excessive red in the picture. For example, the last episode of Buffy- Anya was weaing a red dress- it looked awful. Reducing the colour helped, but even at a low setting it seemed high (and of course the picture lacked colour vibrancy)

I've read that using a attenuator on the red component lead will help (sort of), but the red component lead also is releated to the G & B grey level. And it will not fix broadcast programmes as well.

I have found out the RCUT and RDRV is not the red colour decoder setting. So how can I adjust it?

Thanks
Nathan

my old sony had a similar problem. i took the front off (speaker mesh) where there were 6 knobs. £ of them are for the 3 colours, blue green red. I turned the red one down slightly. BINGO. great colours again

I now the focus ones adjust the focus, obviously- but I have read nothing about the screen pots.

I would like to find info before I adjust them- not knocking you, but I've read your other post regarding your new Sony.

Fixed the Red Push problem- instead of setting the colour/tint in Avia with the blue filter- I set the two settings with the red filter.

Much better now, the red blooming has gone..my settings are now

cont. 35
bright. 40
colour 34
tint +3
sharp -2
