Philips 32PW6515 - doesn't respond to remote

Hi,
Thought my batteries were going, remote response deteriorated over a few days. Replaced batteries - no change. Bought new remote - still no change. Now only have access to manual TV top control button (volume & channel change) - can't access any other controls as no response at all to remote HELP
