Frustration

I'm buying my first home cinema set up and looking at Widescreen tv's to accompany it. I obviously have a budget to work to but I'm a bit frustrated that I will be paying for stereo speakers and a receiver/tuner within my tele when I'm forking out another £ 200 on dedicated speakers and a suround sound receiver!

Has anyone had similar frustrations? Do any manufacturers just supply a basic widescreen without the extra gubbins that I am by-passing?

For what it is worth I'm also frustrated that both my DVD and Amp will decode Dolby Digital as I guess I only need that technogy once.

Are the manufacturers ripping us off?
