Purity problems

I have just taken delivery of a JVC av28x25 and generally I am very pleased with it. However, I have just noticed in the top right hand corner a red patch, which is noticable when viewing sky, etc.

I purchased from QED-uk.com and they have agreed to replace it (so far my experience of this company has been first rate).

My question is: am I likely to see this on the replacement set or any other set for that matter. Is it a 'characteristic' of widescreen sets?

Also, in the service menu, what does IF, etc mean.

Thanks in advance for your help

Providing no magnetic fields are within a few feet of your tv.
An engineer will resolve your problem with a thirty second de-gaussing. This is almost certain to be the problem.
A swap-out replacement will no doubt need the same, so a service call will be more useful to you, and will save the hassle of changing your set.
Nothing in the service menu will help.
