Toshiba 36ZP38

Hi, Im not sure but..?
Whilst watching TV tonight, the picture became unstable, juddering and joggling all over the place. At first I thought it was my Nokia box(221T) so turned that off and moved from terrestrial channel to terrestrial channel, issue was still there, very jerky pictures, kind of like the "Talkies" very staggered movements. I turned the TV to standby, and then came back to it about half an hour later. Its fine now. Is this the dreaded Scan Module issue starting ?
Thx

Re: Toshiba 36ZP38

sounds like it!

have a search on this forum and you'll find loads of useful stuff. I rang Tosh customer care on 01159 766958 and they sent me a replacement part free of charge! They will send the part direct to an approved repairer - should cost you around £70/£80 to sort it out being fitted...... worth it though, that TV is a belter!!

Re: Toshiba 36ZP38

Hi, thx for responding. Did as you said today, phoned Toshiba and to be fair they were as good as gold, no resistance, sending part to my repairer, should be there sometime next week so the kind lady said. Wasn't bullish on the phone to them, went about it really softly softly, said "I was hoping you might look kindly on me, and send me the part as its a recognised manufacturing fault" > to make it even better, my repair man has quoted me £40 + VAT, so <£50 TVs back to its brilliant best. Fantastic: thx once again
