Did as you said today, phoned Toshiba and to be fair they were as good as gold, no resistance, sending part to my repairer, should be there sometime next week so the kind lady said. Wasn't bullish on the phone to them, went about it really softly softly, said "I was hoping you might look kindly on me, and send me the part as its a recognised manufacturing fault" > to make it even better, my repair man has quoted me £40 + VAT, so <£50 TVs back to its brilliant best.
