cheap plamas?

Has anyone had any dealing with a company offering the new pioneer 43" for £2000 and the 50" for £2500 including receiver box, delivery and instalation.
Advertised in paper says brand new with 12 months warranty. It all sounds oo good to be true which probably means that it is. Say they are from Woking way. Looks like a couple of mobile numbers? They say they have sold 600 of them? Can anyone shed any light on them?

So many HOT deals!

Gadgetman

Call Pioneer - they are BOUND to know if anyone has ordered the odd SIX hundred displays or not.

Those prices are way below trade.

Best regards

Joe

Perhaps they are sourcing them from the Eastern Europeans on E-Bay

As Joe says, those prices are too low to be believable.

Personally I wouldn't even think about buying a plasma from someone operating via a newspaper ad and a mobile phone number which is probable an untraceable pay-as-you-go number.

If you do talk to them ask them if they are official Pioneer authorised dealers and ask them how they will want to be paid.

I'm betting that the payment method will be cash or a near cash equivalent such as a debit card or a bank transfer. I'd have no qualms about paying someone like Joe that way, but anyone trading off-the-page with mobile numbers would only get my money via credit card if at all.

I saw a Panasonic 42in one on Techtronics for £2600 without a tuner, that's the cheapest price I've seen to date for a Plasma.
