Toshiba 36ZP38 Scan Converter (DFS module) fitting guide (engineers use only)

There’s 100’s of post on this DFS / scan module on the 36zp38 … I know that you can call Toshiba up and get it fitted but after reading up it seems like it a solder contact issue involving a solder re-flow. Now having many years experience with micro electronics (and a re-work station) and suffering from this faulty model myself I’m hoping some of the Tv engineers out there can post some pics up of the model as well as a quick fitting guide. Not for the amateur but would be useful for personal insight

Re: Toshiba 36ZP38 Scan Converter (DFS module) fitting guide (engineers use only)

I wouldn’t put it down to just a "normal" solder job ie a few points on a circuit board.. I’m sure it will involve the re-flow of a bed of components atmels ect .. Which is possible with the right equipment. But not with a soldering iron lol

Come on all u tv engineers share your knowledge .. lets see a pic of what’s killing my beloved Toshiba
