| JVC AV-28T5SK or AV-32T5SK?
I can get either unit (28" or 32") for both around £300. As I'd like to use my progressive-scan DVD player, would either TV be fine? (Or can anyone suggest something better in the TV department?)
I've read that 32" telly's that are 50Hz normally are worse than 28" sets as the flicker is greatly enhanced due to the size, but would the fact that I'd be using Progressive-Scan for DVD's negate this? (Or have I missed the point somewhere?)
Also - Is it better to get a 100Hz set for Progressive-Scan? (I think I read somewhere that fast moving pictures on progressive-scan are worse than interlaced as they are slower, but look better... Or, again, am I grasping the wrong end of the stick?) I don't really want to pursue a 50Hz Prog-Scan set if the Prog-scan is going to make the picture worse?
Does anyone know if the JVC sets have any whistles or hums from the CRT, as I can pick that kind of thing up rather easily. (Also - The 32" unit has something to help with screen distortion - TILT. Is this going to be something I need as I know my parent's 32" Philips has distortion... Why DO widescreen telly's do this and 4:3's dont? And why don't wide-screen TV's not completely fill the screen?)
