Question Sony 32DS60 problems

Hi All

I have a small problem with my old Sony 32inch DS60.

In the last year or so I have started to notice small white flickering lines on the right hand side of the screen when its on . They are about a inch or so long. I'm hoping these are not the first signs of the tube about to pack in.

The reason this has started to bother me is because I'm giving the set to my mother when I get my new LCD. I dont really want her to have to deal with a huge bill if it has to be repaired a month or so after I give her it.

Please give the full model no when asking for advice.
It starts with a "K".

Re: Sony 32DS60 problems

Are the lines visible on all channels?
If you have a VCR or DVD sitting below the set remove them and see if the lines disappear.

Re: Sony 32DS60 problems

You can see them most when the set heats up. They little flickering lines that seem to be in the screen . Even when you turn the TV off you can still see then for about 20 seconds on the blackness of the screen .
