Philips 32" CRT Problem HELP!

My Philips TV pictures on all channels keeps going a strange purply orange colour, like everything looks washed out.

Any help on a remedy or dianostic would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Re: Philips 32" CRT Problem HELP!

Not much help, but it sounds like the end to me.
You have got to ask yourself, how old and is it worth fixing. If >6-8 years then I would say not.

So why are you asking here?
Call the place where you have the extended warranty.

If I knew how to fix the problem myself, do you really think that I'd be asking for help and advise.

If you can't help don't bother posting your comments.

I'm just trying to understand why you've posted here asking for help when you've already stated that the set is still under an extended warranty...why not just call out the engineer under said warranty and get it fixed?...if you tamper with it yourself you'll invalidate the warranty.
