Philips 24"widescreen

I need some help in buying the philips 24PW6518 tv, currys and argos don't seem to have it in stock, does anyone know who does?

The price has to be the same as argos at £130, there are retailers who are selling this tv for £280.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Philips 24"widescreen

I was also interested in this TV but it seems only Amazon have it in stock for £277.

Interestingly, Woolworths had it advertised at £78(!) and then just a few days ago put the price up to £100 http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/pr...l?pid=50634390

But it's not been in stock for weeks. Same with Argos. I phoned Currys and they said they did not know when they would get more in. I did ask if it was an end of line product and they said there was nothing to indicate that it was.

However, it is no longer listed on the Philips UK website.

Did look at bargain but whether it will ever be for sale again at Argos, Currys or Woolies, I don't know.

As I said, I checked the sites for several weeks and it never appeared to be in stock with any of them.

In the end, went for http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-21PT...&s=electronics

But even this has disappeared from the Comet website in the past few days. CRTs are getting pretty hard to buy these days.

Re: Philips 24"widescreen

Well I ordered it from currys yesterday and it was in stock but I recieved an email saying they no longer have it in stock, I got the price down to £112.50.
I gave them a call but they couldn't explain to me why it was showing in stock when they don't have it then they hung up on me.
I even tried inputing a different postcode which was 3-4 miles away from me and it showed the philips was available to order for home delivery.

Argos couldn't help as well, they just told me to keep on trying and would you believe it they hung up on me as well and believe me I wasn't rude.

The telly has been out for two years and yes it is a discontinued model, I may just end up getting a LCD which I just don't want to do at this moment.

Amazon do have it but I'm not paying that price for the philips, they must have brought all the uk stock.
