Yep, I'm tempted, & yep I would of course be extremely careful & note all settings & only change 1 setting at a time etc., but I don't know how to access the service menu(s) to even have a look at to see if there is anything I can change to eliminate the problems I have.
I would gladly leave it to the engineers, but as yet I have had 3 different engineers, 1 had never had a service call to a TV before, 1 had never seen this model of TV before, and didn't know how to access the user menus (single button press on the remote!) let alone try to rectify any problem, and the 3rd said that almost all new widescreen TV's had geometry problems, and that I was lucky, as most are worse than mine - but he still recommended a replacement! I suppose I have had a combination of bad luck & problems associated with buying from a non-specialist dealer.
I now have a choice of a full refund, or a replacement (but not another Panasonic PB50 at the request of the dealer), but I found it bad enough deciding on 1 TV, so I am reluctant to go through the whole procedure again, which brings me back to wondering if there was anything in the service menus that may help.
So, if anyone can help......
