Philips 28PW9617

Is there a volume display on the 9617 which gives a display of volume level when changing volume, if so how do you get it up on screen. Also don't seem to be able to get the set to work from my sky digital remote, have tried reprogramming remote using Philips code of 0081 but no joy. Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

I couldn't get the Sky digital remote to work with my 28PW9617 either.

In the end I used it as an excuse to buy a Phillips pronto remote.

Unfotunately I don't have the TV at the moment coz it was doing this

If you find a solution to the Sky Remote I'd be interested as my wife still uses it in preference to the Pronto.

ps Sorry about the scary picture

I don't know if this will work on your 9617, but on the 6515 that I used to own, I was able to hold down the info key on the remote for about 5 seconds. After that, when you change the volume, it should show you the indicator on screen (or it might come up automatically before then).

Sorry for the delay Arch... If you go into interactive on Sky and Select Customer Services you will be able to find a list of Philips codes... I seem to remember having to try four or five before it worked. on my 9617. Write down all the codes and try them one by one. Good luck.

Didn't holding down the info button for 5 seconds work then?

sorry, yes i did try it, I assume you meen the button with the i+ symbol that gives you the various info at the top of the screen for a few seconds, if it is this one, then no it had no effect. Ment to ask you about this but forgot.

Has anyone got the Philips remote to control a sky digibox, or anything else for that matter.
I like the remote but I haven't been able to get it to work my sony VCR or pioneer DVD...
