Tosh 32zp48 slight fault (for sale?)

Hi,

I have had my Tosh 32zp48 for about 22 months. After about 14 months it developed a fault - an intermittent flickering black line across the middle of the screen. See this thread:

32ZP48 Problem

It turned out that my credit card that I bought it on offered me a further 1 yrs warranty on top of Tosh warranty so I made the necessary arrangements to get it fixed etc. The warranty was basically just an insurance policy from a large national company who have a network of "approved" repairers throughout the country.

Long story short, my approved repairer turned out to be rubbish and lead me (6 months later and no TV fix) to write a compalining letter to my credit card provider, the insurance company and the repairer. The insurer and cc provider acted immediately and said that the repairer had acted appallingly and therefore to avoid any more hassle they would give me a new tv (I am getting a sony bravia 32" LCD delivered on Saturday).

However, I am now left with my old tosh and don't know what to do with it. The TV repair guys (when they eventually came round to assess the TV) said that they knew what was wrong with it and they had seen the fault before and it is fixable (if only they had carried it through to actually pulling their fingers out and fixing it!)

I guess I am hoping to sell it on (at an obviously reduced price) to someone who is willing to take on the repair. Ideally, if you have a TV repair shop - this is the set for you - repair it and sell on at a profit. I don't really want to put it on Ebay because of the hassle (although I will if no-one here is interested).

If anyone is interested, please drop me a line.

There is a for sale forum where your posting belongs.

Good luck with the sale.
