CRT HD TV ideas

Hay.

I want to get a good CRT HD TV which also handles standard tv fine. I have gone off LCD TVS due to the poorer picture qauilty conparied to CRT.

Any CRT HD TVs about right now?

thanks

There are some samsung HDTV's.......take a look at the jvc 1080 capable tv's if you can find one. IMO its far better than the samsung ones.

Stay away from the Samsung slimfit. Anything that can generate 27 pages on this forum relating to dodgy geo & buzzing can't be worth considering.

The problem is the fabled 'good ones' that some talk about. I've owned one, seen a few in the shops, and have yet to see one of these rare beasts. Even the ones with decent geometry suffer from other issues. If that wasn't bad enough, these sets don't look very good when compared to lcd/plasma secreens with HD and SD is pretty poor when compared to a decent crt.

Re: CRT HD TV ideas

Well Warbie all I can say is I am well and truely happy with mine.

It's miles better than my mates Plasma and his LCD.

HD on it looks amazing too
(but you do need to ensure you're looking at good stuff, low bit-rate HD can barely look much different to SD).

......and I'm not the only happy owner around here either.
