beovision 5 & avant 32

Im in a quandry re these 2 x tvs for the main room...

I saw them at harrods today and was impressed , but the 5 is VERY expensive - even for a plasma !

Has anyone got any views / experience of b&o tvs ?

Also I have a Philips PW289615/05 in my bedroom and it suffers from interfence akin to horizontal lines - any ideas as to the cause ?

This may sound utterly mad, but is there a street light outside your bedroom window or in close prox?
Or does the interference only occur at night?

I've actually seen this problem before only it affected two B&O tv sets within a 50mtr radius of the street light! Changing the 8pf capacitors in the lamp circuit did not resolve this problem either!

How nuts is that!?!


ps. plasmas are immune to this vile disease though!

that is odd - so its probably outside interference.. hmm philips tvs do seem to be very sensitive..

my old sony 32fx6o never suffered from this....

regarding the b&o's , the 5 seems ott in cost , the pic was superb , but £12k ...come on..

wish loewe did the spheros in black.
