Poor power supply - can it be changed?

This may be a quick "no" answer, but can the power supply in a TV be changed for a better one?
'cos the one in my JVC (AV-28WTF) is crap. It makes the screen warp badly when light areas are on the screen, a common thing with this set according to these forums.

Thanx! Matt
