Setting scarts to digital input

Having just recieved a new Philips telly - i was wondering what difference it makes if i set scarts up for digital input.

Basically i get the option to set any scart plus STB (Set Top Box) on any Scart input.

This is for picture not for sound - as i also have the option for the sound to be digital.

I think it is just for the purpose of associating a video input with a digital audio input.

I think that's right. I was reading my manual last night, and i think that's the only purpose.

Got my 9607 yesterday - personally I think it rocks. I did before I bought it, that's why I chose it.
