Diff between JVC AV28WFT1 & AV28FT1EK?

Hello,

I want to buy a JVC 28" widescreen TV, and after reading these forums for some months now I have almost definately decided to buy a JVC AV28WFT1. I have also seen a JVC AV28FT1EK for practically the same price. Does anybody know what the difference is? Is it something like one has dolby pro-logic and the other is just Nicam Stereo?? Maybe one is a slightly newer model. I would imagine the picture is the same....

I had a look at the AV32WFT1 in Dixons today and it seems like a very nice set, and is very good value for money compared to Panasonic, Sony etc tv's......

I find all these model numbers confusing.

Thanks for any help. :-)

I'm sure they are identical. The Pro Logic version is called the WFR1.

The EK bit just means it's a UK model.

Thanks for your replies :-)

I emailed JVC yesterday and got a reply back today. Is said:

These two models that you have mentioned are the
same. Please make sure the model you buy has AV-28WFT1 code (rest of the
suffix not relevent to the specification of the unit).

I was going to get the TV from miller brothers (www.millerbros.co.uk) as i can get a discount and they list the TV as "AV28FT1EK". Should I just ignore JVC's comments and get this one? QED also list this model number? Why is the "W" missing from the model number?!!

God knows why JVC chose to use 2 different model numbers for the same TV!!

Can anybody confirm that this TV is one of the best 28" widescreen tv's around? I was going to get a Pany PL1 but apparently there are some problems with them...
