QED what to you think

Hi

I'm thinking of ordering a TOSHIBA 56WH08B from QED (Quality Electrical Direct)
but before I place the order I would like to here what you guys think of QED
I've read to many horror stories of other suppliers on this forum to place this order without getting some sort of all clear

Thanks

Ron

I've ordered some speakers from them before Christmas and they arrived in 2 days. Also I ordered a Toshiba 36 inch TV which wasn't a stock item and they delivered it when promised, however if it is not a stock item they will debit your creditcard as soon as you place the order and not when it is despatched/delivered to you.

If the website says it is in stock, you should be OK.

Andy.

(QED are Miller Bros or part of........same website layout, same Head Office address, just a bloody lot cheaper.)

Would recomend them without hesitation.

I had problems with a TV I got from them last year and have never encountered such good customer service.

I even wrote to their MD telling him - can't say I do that very often.....

Cheers

Ordered a pair of speakers in early Feb but didn't get delivery until yesterday. Got no confirmation of order other than a auto-response message saying order is being processed. Had to make a couple of calls to find out.

Okay, it might not be in stock then but my credit card was charged for the full amount on the day I placed the order. They say it's their policy and "terms & condition". So beware !

hmm?

Surely the whole point of having a web page is to order over the internet?

Thats what I did and like I said it arrived very quickly.

Jimbob, fair comment. But I needed to get hold of them to see if I could request a specific delivery date shortly before xmas and waited for 20 minutes on the phone then gave up. I was disappointed so went to use Empire Direct instead who answered immediately and said they would deliver on the day requested with no problems at all. I did say that I must have it on a specific day due to work commitments.

They let me down and were a bit put out after I told them politely where to stick there VCR after I wasted a whole day off at home waiting for the courier who never arrived!

I would give QED another try though at some time.
