Hitachi Illumina TV- video playback in black & white.Please help.

After setting up my 43'' Illumina tv I found that video playback was in black and white and that the tv wouldn't display any channels through the video . Other than this the tv was fine. Has anyone got any ideas as to what I can do

I presume you are connected via scart.......
Had a 36" Hitachi, don't know if the menu is the same but if i remember rightly you could go into the AV set up and select S-Video, composite or auto for AV2/AV3, you may have it on S-Video.

Is this a new video?
Have you check the RF connections?......You will get video playback but no channels if the RF leads are not connected or connected wrong.
