Thinking of buying a Sony KD28DX51-need opinions please!

Hi All,
Littlewoods Online are selling the 28" Sony 28DX51 for £349 including delivery (for first-time customers).
It seems to be a well-featured set.If anybody can shed any light on how it behaves, especially with football (either analogue or digital),that would be welcome.
Thanks for your help,
Si.

£350 sounds a very good price for it. This is a nice Sony iDTV. I found that you will probably get some geometry issues with this set and the picture looses sharpness towards left edge. I opted for a
philips 28pw6520 and added sony's freeview box. IMO both picture and sound are much better than on the kd28dx51. So I personally can't recommend it.

Go to the big currys & comets and see some sets including the ones you want. Trouble is - its not that easy to get to know a set in these shops. Also run searches in this forum on any model you are intersted in.

Good Luck.

Cheers,Mark-I appreciate your reply.
As you know all to well,it's a nightmare trying to see the set your are interested in displaying anything like the signal that it'll be used for.
I cannot find any reviews ('expert' or more usefully,real-life user) anywhere.
Anyway,I'll keep digging.
Thanks,
Si.

I think you'll be happy.

I've been searching for this set's big brother, the KD32DX200 for several months and managed to find one this week. It's unbelievably good quality.
The best picture I've ever seen on a tv. Really, best CRT, LCD, Plasma picture is nothing like this one.

If I couldn't find a 200 I was going to buy the 51, and your price seems very keen.

Hi Sean,
I read from your posts that you are a committed Sony CRT fan!
I think that for £350 I won't get better value (or picture,hopefully).
Thanks,
Si.
