Toshiba 36ZP48 Component Input !

The outer metal shielding connection of the blue component input on my 36ZP48 has come-off leaving a black coloured centre input only.

The component inputs still work perfectly but I was wondering if the component performance is in any way affected by this missing contact ?

Any comments would be appreciated.

The connectors outer casing is shielding and these should all be commoned at the TV input on the PCB, and as the inputs are working without it in place, they clearly are. The shielding should still be working ok as it will be connected (& commoned/joined) at the sockets (at the other end of the cable) of the DVD player or whatever signal source it is.

Long and short of it - shouldn't be a problem as far as i can see.

Just don't break off all 3 ;-)
